助产士midwife summary:

 operates from a deep understanding of the total situation. collaborates with other caregivers to challenge and coordinate institutional resources to ma_imize advocacy for patient and family care in achieving the most effective outcomes.

essential tasks:

 assess plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care of patients throughout the prenatal, intrapartum, and/or postpartum patient services and primary care to obstetrical patients by general accepted standards of practice.

 deliver safe and competent nursing care.

 demonstrate clinical skills, knowledge and critical thinking in the delivery of patient care as senior midwife, delivery single newborn independently under supervision of physician, assist physician to rescue patient while emergency happens.
